Have someone that is very hard to buy for? How about a magazine subscription? You can get them something very inexpensively that lasts all year long. Some of my favorite sites to get cheap magazine subscriptions are

amazon.com. The downfall is the magazines may take a few months to process, so a cute idea would be to buy the current month's magazine and include a note with it that they are getting a whole year for their gift!
