Frugal Friday Idea- Cheap Fruit Dip!

We are little Fruit Monsters at our house! There is nothing better than fruit in the summer, plus it's healthy, so I don't feel bad buying lots of it!
Now...how many of you LOVE the cream cheese/marshmallow fruit dip? Yep, I am raising both hands right now!! Well...that is kind of expensive and you have to use it quickly. My lovely friend April, who happens to be pregnant as well and it seems like we crave the exact same things, gave me this dip recipe and I love it! It reminds me of the cream cheese dip but healthier and cheaper!!

Sour Cream Fruit Dip

Scoop of Sour Cream (regular, lite or fat free)
Brown Sugar to taste
Mix them together and dip away!!!

That easy! Please try it...I swear it is good!!!

Flatbread Tacos With Ranch Sour Cream Sauce

These are very good and fast! My 6 year old ate two of them...now my 2 year old wouldn't eat them, but he doesn't eat anything!

Ingredients:
1 cup sour cream (I use Lite or Fat Free)
2 teaspoons ranch salad dressing mix
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1-1 1/2 pds ground beef
1 can (15 oz) pinto beans, drained and rinsed
1 can (14-15 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 envelope taco seasoning
1 tbsp. hot sauce- optional
1 tube large refrigerated buttermilk biscuits

Optional Toppings: lettuce, olives, cheddar cheese

Directions:

In a small bowl, combine sour cream, ranch dressing mix and lemon juice. Chill until serving.

In a large skillet, cook beef until no longer pink, drain. Add the beans, diced tomatoes, taco seasoning and hot sauce; heat through.

Meanwhile, roll out biscuits into a 6-inch circle (the skinnier the better I think). I also spray my rolling pin with Pam. In a nonstick skillet over medium heat, cook each biscuit for 30-60 seconds on each side. Keep the heat low so they cook and don't burn. Keep warm.
To serve, spread with ranch sauce, top with meat mixture, and then sprinkle on optional toppings of your choice!!!

Hot Target Clearance Find

While running to Target today, I spotted this Baby Alive doll that potties and poops for only $7.27!! That is down from the original price of $29.99!!!!!!

Now...some of you might be saying, "Ashlei, you have two sons???"

You are right, but has anybody seen the Dr. Phil way of Potty Training? Well, I am going to try it when the time is right and I need a doll that potties!!!! YEAH!!!

If I wasn't a poor person right now, I would have bought several for Birthday Parties and Christmas presents.

Dillons Trip- $19.03 Spent!!

I posted in my Meal Plan Monday, that my husband and I are trying to really scrimp this month as we have so many expenses during August (back to school, tags and taxes, birthday, etc.) SO I am doing a Pantry/Freezer Challenge and my goal was to spend under $20.00 for our grocery budget for this 2 week pay period. So, I got my filler items needed for our meals (just biscuits and meat) and then bought our "essentials" (produce, milk, water, etc.) I even managed to get a few items not on my list but had coupons for or that my husband asked for (the poptarts!).

So here is my shopping trip. Not sure if the one gallon of milk will last us until next Wednesday, so I may end up going to the store for one more gallon but I wanted to try to see how long we could go.
