Here are some great shopping trips from Patricia, one of my coupon class participants!

Attempted my first major shopping trip to Dillon's this week and used the e-coupons with paper coupons, wasn't a bad trip and I learned a few things. 1. Print out a copy of your e-coupons from the Dillon's website. Glad I did this because after reviewing my receipt I found 4 e-coupons that did not come off my bill, went back to the store with my receipt & e-coupon list and they refunded me $3.50. 2. The e-coupons are 1 for 1 (1 e-coupon per item). 3. Dillon's will accept expired coupons up to 2 weeks after expiration, but ONLY the manufacturer coupons, not Store coupons. I had an expired Dillon's coupon that was sent in the mail (it stated manufacturer coupon on it), so it was accepted.

Total retail = $152.98; I paid $69.45; I saved $83.53 (54%)!!!
First time I have ever had a savings like that at Dillon's!

Why It Pays to Go To Garage Sales

Some of you may be asking what this is?!?! Others of you, like myself, knew exactly what it was when I saw it at a Rummage Sale last week! It is the Pampered Chef Core and More that retails for $10.50. I LOVE Pampered Chef products and I LOVE them even more when I find them at Garage Sales! I have found so many great Pampered Chef finds and I think it is because people just don't know what they have...fine by me!

So...guess how much I paid for it???? Go ahead...guess!!!!!



Just $0.10~~A DIME! And it included the cover and everything...I don't even think it had been used!!!

I scored some great finds this weekend at my town's city wide sales. I am going to try to make a video soon of the ins and outs of sales and see what we can find!!! Sounds like fun doesn't it?!?!?!

Coupon Swap USA

Do you ever have coupons that you just won't use?? Hate to waste those diaper coupons when your kids are already grown but know a mom of little ones would love to have them??
How About Joining Coupon Swap USA?

I have come up with an idea for a coupon swap that will take place around the USA!! Here is how it works.

*Email me at coupondealsandsteals@gmail.com to register. Simply let me know you want to be a part of Coupon Swap USA and then leave me your name and mailing address.
*I will put together groups of people to become a Swap Group. I am going to try to spread you out across the USA as different regions get different coupons.
*I will designate a Group Leader (let me know in the email if you absolutely don't want to be one) to start the swap. The only thing the leader will do is start the envelope on it's cross country destination and then when it comes back to him/her they will simply keep it going and print off a new mailing sheet. I will send detailed information and the mailing sheet when I have designated those leaders.
*The way it works is this. You will have a group of about 4-5 people that you will be swapping coupons with. When you get the envelope you will choose any coupons from the envelope you would like to keep. In return, you must take all the leftover coupons along with new ones you add and put them in a new envelope and address it to the next person on the list and mail it within 2 days. The quicker the better as coupons do expire!!!! You will be in charge of your own envelopes and postage.
*If you do not want to be involved after starting it, you will simple email me and I will send a new mailing sheet to the leader.
*I will be on everybody's mailing sheet so that I can grab some great coupons too! That will be my return on the deal!!! Plus, I would just love to be apart of it!!!

The consultant did say this is a very popular product, so I am sure there are lots of people very impressed with it!

Nail Strengthener/Nail Nourisher-$32.00 for both. My nails constantly get abused with the typing, dishes, etc. that go on in my daily life. So this was the product I was most excited about trying. The Strengthener is supposed to condition and toughen the nail without making them brittle. It is a brilliant solution for those out you who want to grow out your nails after having acrylics!!! I used mine exactly as the directions stated and I actually had to cut my nails today because they were so long and not breaking!!! It does have a nice pale pink color to it too. The Nourisher protects, condition and softens the cuticles of your nails. This is a huge problem for me! I have seen improvement in my cuticles and am thrilled about this product!!!

Lip Gloss-$14.00 This lip gloss is not only pretty but it contains innovative active ingredients to promote collagen production, stimulate cell renewal, plus moisturize and protect! Although this is a nice product, I still don't know if I have seen any collagen production or cell renewal. I don't know if this is something you would see or not? Anyway, a nice product but again, not a "Wow"!

Frugal Friday Tips!

Frugal Friday Tips:

1. Do you ever have just a little bit of vegetables leftover after meals? Or maybe, those carrots that sounded good at the grocery store but don't sound good anymore are starting to be past their prime...well, don't throw them away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Take all your "leftover" veggies and put them in a Ziploc bag in the freezer. Keep adding to the bag when is needed and then use those veggies for a vegetable soup or in your next stew! This way you won't have to go out and buy all those veggies at "full price!"

2. Anybody here have a million papers coming home from school? My son literally has about 10 papers coming home every night! Instead of trashing those papers, I take them and recycle them by using them to print my coupons on! It doesn't matter what is on the other side when you turn in those coupons! Another idea is to cut them up into fourths and then staple a bunch of pages together to make your own little notepad for shopping lists and such!
